Hello World, Goodbye Brain-rest!

Posted by on January 6, 2014

Well friends, it would appear that I am beginning my transition back into normal life.

While it would be impossible to paint a complete picture of the past 18 weeks of my life, I will endeavour to do so through a mini-series called “From Concussia With Love”. (I termed my brain-rest bubble “Concussia”. Because I had that much free time.)

In some ways, I feel calm and relaxed about diving into the swirling chaos which is My Normal Life. After discussing my symptoms with various specialists, I’ve decided to slowly begin re-joining my normal activities. It will probably still be a bit up and down, but I’m excited to ease back into real life. I feel a newfound freedom from the demands of technology, socializing, school, work and adult life. I learned a secret: I can never do everything, and that’s Okay.

{WHEW}

Speaking of learning new things…

(#Awkwardtransition #ihaventbloggedinmonths)

Me: I have no idea where it is, it’s M.I.A.

Varun: M.I.A. What does that mean?

Me: WHAT? How have you never asked me that? I’ve said that like once a week for 7 years!

Friend: It means “Missing in Action”.

Varun: Oooooh. I thought it meant “Mission Impossible, eh?” You Canadians are always saying “eh”.

Me: ?!?!?!?

Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to go sit on the couch and rest. Because this is how we roll these days.

    Why is Varun covered in snow while Amelia is not?

    • Amelia

      He went sledding (and wiped out over a bump). I, however, am not allowed to do activities which could involve a head injury. Apparently sledding is one such activity….
