Well friends, it would appear that I am beginning my transition back into normal life.
While it would be impossible to paint a complete picture of the past 18 weeks of my life, I will endeavour to do so through a mini-series called “From Concussia With Love”. (I termed my brain-rest bubble “Concussia”. Because I had that much free time.)
In some ways, I feel calm and relaxed about diving into the swirling chaos which is My Normal Life. After discussing my symptoms with various specialists, I’ve decided to slowly begin re-joining my normal activities. It will probably still be a bit up and down, but I’m excited to ease back into real life. I feel a newfound freedom from the demands of technology, socializing, school, work and adult life. I learned a secret: I can never do everything, and that’s Okay.
Speaking of learning new things…
Me: I have no idea where it is, it’s M.I.A.
Varun: M.I.A. What does that mean?
Me: WHAT? How have you never asked me that? I’ve said that like once a week for 7 years!
Friend: It means “Missing in Action”.
Varun: Oooooh. I thought it meant “Mission Impossible, eh?” You Canadians are always saying “eh”.
Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to go sit on the couch and rest. Because this is how we roll these days.
