Lots of people have been asking us lately about the status of our adoption. I realized that after we announced last October that we’re adopting, we had exciting news each month for a few months. Well, my friends, we have now entered what our adoption agency calls The Waiting Game. As of December, our file has been sent to a government agency in Hyderabad. There, our file (dossier) waits to be matched with a child. Theoretically, it could be any day. Most likely, it’ll be over a year before we’re matched.
At the end of this week, a representative from our agency, as well as from agencies all over the world, will be meeting in Delhi for the 3rd International Meet on Adoption. We’re really hoping that after this conference, we’ll have some answers to a few of our questions! In the mean time, we’re making room in our hearts and in our lives to welcome a little one.
